After acquiring Taggies™ from the mom who invented the brand, Kids II felt that it needed a fresh look that would better suit our vision for its future. Our goals were to update the overall look to modernize and add a bit of sophistication, while still maintaining the brand’s playfulness and acknowledging its home-spun origins.
The biggest challenge we faced was creating a look that would work for a new and broader product offering and for all marketing materials. We enlisted the help of BFG to update the Taggies™ logo. Then, I created the remaining assets necessary to develop a system that would work across different mediums and packaging dimensions. This new concept involved an updated color palette, hand-drawn design elements and simplified messaging on packaging.
The result was a brand identity that would work across many different types of marketing collateral. In contrast to the previous design, Taggies™ now has relevance in a competitive market by combining innovative and essential products with a simplified and modern identity. This new identity nods at Taggies™ origin, while focusing on the future of brand.
